 Program: Motorbike Trip to Upper Mustang

Day 1: Kathmandu

Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, pickup by the representative of our office, drive to hotel, and brief introduction about the drive.

  • Overnight in Kathmandu
  • Meals: Welcome dinner


Day 2: Kathmandu – Pokhara via Bandipur

Breakfast, then ride along the Trishuli river to the picturesque Bandipur, a hilltop town located in the Tanahun district, lunch in the old Newari town. Continue trip to Pokhara, one of the most beautiful cities in Nepal. Check in to the hotel, where you will spend some time refreshing yourselves.

Visit Tal Barahi Temple, a Hindu temple located on a small island in the middle of Phewa Lake. Then, ride to the beautiful and peaceful Begnas Lake.

Then, overnight stay at the hotel.


Day 3: Pokhara – Kalopani (2530 meters)

Ride to Beni. From there, start off-road trip and ride up to Kalopani. Kalopani is well-known for its wonderful views of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna I.

Then, overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4: Kalopani – Kagbeni (2804 meters) via Muktinath (3710 meters)

Ride to Muktinath, a holy  center for both Hindus and Buddhists.

“you have the courage to do so, you can take a holy bath under the 108 water fountains (Muktidhara).”

Then, ride to Kagbeni, the main gate to the Forbidden Kingdom. Witness the great views of Nilgiri, Dhaulagiri and Tukuche peaks, and the Kali Gandaki (the deepest canyon in the world).

Then, overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 5: Kagbeni – Ghami (3520 meters) via Chele and Samar

Enter the Kingdom through Chhusang, following the Kali Gandaki river. Then, descend to the village of Samar, located inside a grove of poplar trees. Continue your ride to the beautiful Ghami village and enjoy the views of the spectacular red cliffs along the way.

Then, overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 6: Ghami – Lo Manthang (3840 meters)

Motorbiking journey to Tsarang. The village is located on the edge of a beautiful canyon. Then, travel to Lo Manthang, the capital of Upper Mustang. You will reach the ancient walls of the fortified town where you will have plenty of time to marvel. In the afternoon, you will visit the walled capital of Lo Manthang and the King’s Palace.

Then, overnight stay at the hotel.


Day 7: Lo Manthang

Visit of the Chhosar and the mysterious “Sky Caves”. The sky caves in Mustang remain one of the world’s greatest archaeological mysteries.

Then, overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 8: Lo Manthang – Kora La (4660 meters)

Today, you will ride up to Kora La (4,660 meters), at the Tibetan border, where you will enjoy the stunning views of the Himalayas. Then, you will ride back to Lo Manthang.

Then, overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 9: Kora La – Geling (3570 meters) via Dhakmar and the Ghar Gumba

Ride to the isolated village of Dhakmar, an unspoiled place of great natural beauty with superb red sandstone cliffs, and arrival at Geling. On the way, you will also visit the Ghar Gumba.

Then, overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 10: Geling – Marpha (2680 meters) via Chhusang

Ride to Chhusang after breakfast.Visit of the Ranchung Chungsi Cave. Then, journey towards Marpha, the apple capital of Nepal.

Then, overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 11: Marpha – Tatopani (1190 meters)

Leave the beautiful Marpha and ride to Tatopani. In the afternoon, enjoy Tatopani’s natural hot springs. Don’t forget to bring your swimsuit!

Then, overnight stay at the hotel.


Day 12: Tatopani – Pokhara

After breakfast, ride back to Pokhara. There will be free time in the afternoon. Then, overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 13: Pokhara – Kathmandu

After breakfast,  back to Kathmandu. There will be free time in the afternoon. In the evening, in Kathmandu, farewell dinner at a local restaurant along with the cultural shows. Overnight in Kathmandu

Day 14: Kathmandu – your further Destination

To the Tribhuwan Int’l airport, and to your onward journey.

The ancient Kingdom of Mustang has been forbidden to foreigners until 1992. The region is still restricted and foreign visitors need to obtain a special permit to enter the magical land of Upper Mustang. However, the reward is priceless: riding in the Last Forbidden Kingdom is a once-in-a-lifetime experience unlike any other.

Tribhuvan International Airport

Please book your flight to arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM). Transfer from and to the airport is included. Thrill Nepal will pick you up from the airport.


 Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 35% of the total price.
  • The deposit is fully refundable if the booking is cancelled up to 21 days before the arrival date.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid on arrival.
