Detail Itinerary:

Day 1: Kathmandu(4265 ft/1300 M)

Upon arrival you will be met and assisted by a Thrill Nepal representative and transferred to the Hotel. Transfer to Hotel and Check-in. After check –in you will be given free time to be fresh .Overnight at Hotel.

After a hour our representative will give you a short briefing about the Trek.

Day 2: Fly to Lukla (9240 ft / 2800m) Trek to Phakding (8613ft / 2610m)

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Lukla. Your trek guide will join you on this flight. This 40 minute flight follows the Langtang and Jugal ranges before entering the Eastern region where you pass RolwalingHimal. Gaurisankar and Menlumtse before approaching the Khumbu area. After arrival at Lukla Airport you set out on your trek to Phakding. Following the left bank of DudhKoshi River you reach Phakding in time for lunch. Trek time 4 hours.

Day3: Trek to Monjo (9500 ft /2850m)

After breakfast you trek to the village of Monjo. Your route follows a level path along the right bank. From the resort, Thamserku Peak (21860 ft / 6623 m.) looms skyward on the opposite bank. After crossing a stream and climbing the terraced hill from the DudhKoshi route, you arrive at Banker. Continuing through a forest you arrive at Chumoa where you can visit a Vegetable Farm. Walking along a path with many ups and downs, you cross a stream and enter the small village of Monjo. Your lodge for the night is located above the village and overlooks the DudhKosi River. After lunch at the lodge your guide will escort you on a local walk before returning to the lodge in the late afternoon. Trek time 3 hours.

Day 4: Trek to Namche Bazaar (11350ft / 3440m)

After breakfast you trek to Namche Bazaar. The route initially descends until you reach a suspension bridge. After a short climb you come to Jorshale, the entrance to the National Park. Walking along the river you enter a forested mountainside and pass by a rocky area. After crossing a high winding path you descend to the riverbed and reach a V-shaped valley. Here the river forks – to the right is DudhKosi and to the left the BhoteKosi that leads to Nangpa La. Crossing a suspension bridge you walk a short distance along the BhoteKosi before ascending to Namche Bazaar. The afternoon is free to explore the bazaar. Trek time 5 hours.

Day 5: Namche Bazaar Excursion (11350ft / 3440m)

After breakfast you can take the optional trek to the village of Khumjung, the largest village in the Kumbu district. You’ll visit the Khumjung Hillary High School and the Khunde hospital. The hospital & school were built by the late Sir Edmund Hillary. From this area, there are spectacular views of the Majestic Mountains such as Thamserku, Kangtega, and AmaDablam, Lhotse and of course Everest at 8848 m / 29,198 ft. You’ll have lunch in Khumjung before trekking back to Namche. Trek time 4-5 hours. Or, if you do not feel like doing a day hike, you can explore Namche at your leisure. The mountain museum of Namche is excellent.

Day 6: Trek to Thame (12540 ft / 3800m)

After breakfast, you trek to Thame. The trail forms part of the old trading route to Tibet which uses the Nangpa La pass and has Cho Oyu 27000 ft / 8012m as a backdrop. This trail is little used by other trekkers.. This village is also home to many of the Sherpa summiteers, including the late Tenzing Norgay (the first man to climb Everest with Sir Edmund Hillary). After crossing BhoteKoshi River you continue to the village of Thame. Trek time 4 hours.

Day 7: Thame (12540 ft / 3800m)

After breakfast, you’ll visit the unspoilt monastery of Thame and the fascinating Nangpa La Valley, where the Tibetan traders bring their goods, carried on Yaks. Lunch will be at the lodge. After lunch you can explore the village of Thame. Trek time 4 hours.

Day 8: Namche Bazaar (11350ft / 3440m)

Today, we retrace our steps through the village of Thamo and through the pine forests with gentle trails. We’ll have a lunch along the way, reaching Namche in the afternoon. The rest of the day is free for last minute souvenir shopping in Namche, or to relax with a book in the lodge’s glass room. Trek time 4-5 hours.

Day 9: Trek to Monjo (9500 ft /2850m)

After breakfast, up will retrace your steps back to Monjo, arriving in time for lunch. Trek time 3 1/2 hours. Enjoy an optional afternoon hike to a nearby monastery.

Day 10: Lukla(9240 ft / 2800m)

Today you will retrace your steps back to Lukla passing through the village of Phakding. The trail is fairly easy with some steady climbs through scrub forests and a final steep ascent that leads to a Tamang village, and shortly thereafter to Lukla. Trek time 4 hours. This is a good time to enjoy a farewell drink with you guide and porter. You may choose to go to take them to a local pub to say good bye and thank them for their wonderful support and help.

Day 11: Kathmandu(9240 ft / 2800m)

This morning fly with your guide back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival in Kathmandu you will be transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to relax, perhaps enjoying the spa facilities at the hotel.

Day 12: Kathmandu(9240 ft / 2800m)

Today enjoy a sightseeing trip to Bhaktapur,Patan and Boudhanath. You’ll start with Bhaktapur to visit the palace of 55 windows and the 7-tiered stupa. From Bhaktapur, you’ll be driven to Patan. Patan has many heritage sites including the Golden Temple and Durbar Square. Lunch will be included at the Patan’s museum café with free time to visit the museum itself. After lunch, we’ll visit Boudhanath, the largest Buddhist Stupa in Nepal.

Day 13: Depart Nepal

Transfer to the international airport for your onward journey. (B)
