Trip Introduction

Around Manaslu trek take us to the beautiful Manaslu region, with an opportunity to witness Mt. Manaslu (8163m), the eight highest mountain of the world, along with a chance to observe the rich cultural heritage and biological diversity. The ‘Larkya La Pass’ which is widely believed to be one of the most dramatic pass of Himalayas is the highest point during this Trek. The trek involves walking on mountain trails, at altitudes above 3000 meter which can be more demanding on the body than walking at low elevations.

With its remoteness ‘Around Manaslu Trek’ a first choice for those who prefer to become one with nature.

 DAY TO DAY ITINERARY

 DAY 01 KATHMANDU ARRIVAL

Arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu, and our representative from Bisesh Treks will assist during arrival and transfer to hotel. After check in at hotel Rest of the day will be free and in the evening, there will be tour briefing of trek, overnight stay in Kathmandu.

DAY 02 KATHMANDU SIGHTSEEING AND TREK PREPERATION

Sightseeing Pashupatinath ,Bouddhanath, Swayambunath & Kathmandu Durbar square

After breakfast there will be a guided tour to four UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu. The sites visited will be Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, Buddhist stupa of Swyambhunath and Bouddhanath, and ancient royal palace complex of Kathmandu Durbar Square. After sightseeing drive back to hotel and overnight stay in Kathmandu.

DAY 03 KATHMANDU TO SOTIKHOLA DRIVE

 After early morning breakfast, we drive for Sotikhola starting point for our Trek. We will be driving to Sothikhola via Dhading-Besi (districts headquarter of Dhading) on a paved road from Kathmandu, from Dhanding-besi onwards the road is rough, a major town in the region Arughat will be on the way, from Arughat drive further towards Sotikhola; Overnight in Soti Khola.

DAY 04 SOTI-KHOLA TO MACCHA-KHOLA TREK

After early morning breakfast we will be starting our first day of trek, after crossing a suspension bridge, the trial goes amid the Sal forests, then trek along Budhi Gandaki River to reach Khursane village. Two waterfalls lie on the way before climbing up to the Gurung village of Labubesi, further climb up will lead us to open valley of the Budhi Gandaki. After crossing sandy river bed, we need to climb over a side ridge followed by a downhill trek again to reach the Budhi-Gandaki River after crossing another suspension bridge we will reach Machha Khola village. Overnight in Machha Khola.

 

DAY 05 MACCHA-KHOLA TO JAGAT

After breakfast, trek up to Khorlabesi after crossing Tharo Khola. Afterwards the trail leads to Tatopani which literally means hot-spring. After ascending the trial we reach a suspension bridge over Budhi-Gandaki River, with few ascends and descends there are stone stairs all along the trial until we reach Jagat. At Jagat, there is a police check-post where the checkpoint of your trekking permit is situated Rest and overnight at jagat.

 

DAY 06 JAGAT TO DENG

After breakfast, we will start our trek, the trail ascends to Salleri and then it descends to Sirdibas. We will go across the Ghatta khola to reach a Gurung village of Philim after crossing a suspension bridge. The trial then leads to Ekle Bhatti with few crossing over the Budhi-Gandaki River and after crossing a bamboo forest we reach Deng Khola River after crossing a Deng river there is small settlement of Deng village. Overnight and Rest at Deng Village.

 

DAY 07 DENG TO NAMRUNG

After crossing the Budhi Gandaki River, we ascend up to Rana Village. Then the trail leads to Bhi village, afterwards the trail goes to west up the Budhi Gandaki valley. The trail goes through forests Gompas and small village. we take the route through Prok village from where amazing view Siringi Himal is visible. We  need to cross Budi Gandaki several times before reaching a last steep climb we reach Namrung. Overnight in Namrung.

DAY 08 NAMRUNG TO SAMAGAON

Magnificent view of Ganesh Himal, Himalchuli and Siring Himal are visible form Namrung Village.

After breakfast we will start our trek, the trail passes through several villages like Lihi, Sho Lho Shyala before reaching samagaon Village. Amazing view of Manaslu, Himalchuli, Peak 29 along with glaciers are visible. Rest and overnight at Samagaon.

 

DAY 09 SAMAGAON ACCLIMATIZATION TO PUNGYEN GOMBA TO SAMAGAON

Today is a day for rest and acclimatization in Samagaon. The prosperous Sherpa culture can be explored in this village along with an old Pungyen Gompa a top a nearby hill, great views of the glacier can be seen from Gompa. After exploration of Gompa and village rest of the day will be free for taking rest. Overnight and rest in Samagaon.

 

DAY 10 SAMAGAON TO SAMDO

The trail descends to Budhigandaki River, and follows alongside the forest and Valley of Budi Gandaki River until we reach a wooden bridge after crossing the river there is a ascending trail, a large white gateway is visible to enter a village, after passing the gateway we reach Samdo. Overnight and rest at Samdo.

Today is a rest day at Samdo, we can hike up to a pass behind the Village which is old trading pass to Tibet. Amazing view of Manaslu, Hiuchuli, Larke, along with birds like Lophophorus, Bearded vulture and Himalayan Griffin can be seen. Hike back to Samdo, Overnight and rest in Samdo.

 

DAY 11 SAMDO TO DHARMASALA (LARKE PHEDI)

Today’s trek is for 4 to 5 hours only to reach Dharmasala, the trial descends at first to reach and cross a wooden bridge over BudiGandaki. After crossing a River we reach a valley of salka Khola followed by ascending trail which leads to Dharmasala which literally means religious Rest house. Overnight and rest at Dharmasala

DAY 13 DHARMASALA TO LARKYA LA PASS TO BIMTANG

After ascending for a while, we reach a valley on the northern side of the Larkya Glaciers we need to make a gradual ascent to reach the highest pass of our Trek which is Larkya la pass 5260 Meters the trail becomes steeper only in the last section of the pass. From the pass, great view of Himlung Himal, Cheo Himal, Kangguru and the massive Annapurna II are visible. We trek for longer hours today finally reaching Bimtang, Overnight in Bimtang.

 

DAY 14 BIMTANG TO TILIJE

We begin our trek with descend up to a bridge at Dudh khola from there the trial leads to Karche Village. Afterwards followed by an ascending trail to Gho village from Ho village we move on to our next destination of Tilije. Reach Tilije and reset and overnight at Tilije Village.

 

DAY 15 TILIJE TO TAL

Follow the stoned paved trial to reach Thonje village where police check point is located afterwards continue to Dharapani Village. Annapurna circuit section starts from Dharapani. Further down, we cross a bridge over Marshyangdi river to reach Karte village it take some more trek to reach the village of Tal, which is situated at the foot of a large waterfall. Overnight and rest in Tal Village.

 

DAY 16 TAL TO SYANGE

Our trail will take us to Chyamje village after crossing the Marshyangdi Khola once again. we can see terrace fields and villages clung very high to the hillsides in  Marshyangdi valley. Then the trail goes through rhododendron and and pine forests to Syange. Overnight and rest in Syange.

 

DAY 17 SYANGE TO KATHMANDU

After breakfast we drive from Syange to Kathmandu via Besisahar. We can see beautiful villages and farming terraces on both sides of the road. Reach Kathmandu and check in at hotel rest of the day free for personal activities. In evening Farewell dinner will be organized to celebrate last day in Nepal and completion of Journey. Overnight in Kathmandu.
